πThe Wheel Turns
The Wheel of the Year is one of my favorite reminders that nothing in nature stays the same.
There is simply change.Β
Maybe that is natures way to remind us that change should be celebrated, not dreaded.
Today we celebrate the arrival of the Autumn Equinox, the first day of fall and for those of us that follow the Wheel of the Year, it is Mabon. The second of three harvest festivals, between Lughnasadh and Samhain.
for me it means to gather, give thanks and release what is no longer needed to carry into the next season
Mabon is the threshold between light and dark with a moment of balance before we enter the quieter time of the year.
Fall is here, Wild Hearts π
You don't need an elaborate altar or ceremony to mark the turning of the Wheel.
π A simple Mabon Ritual
Light a candle.
Take a few minutes to reflect and think of three things this year has given you.
Next, think of thing you are ready to part with and leave behind.
if you want, write it down.
Enjoy something from the earth for dinner or a snack, step outside.
Nothing complicated.
The season has changed.
The Wheel has turned.
We are here for it.
So tonight, Wild Hearts, light the candles, bring out the blankets, and open the windows.
Welcome the darker half of the year with gratitude.ππ
With love + Intention,
